Business Times Invites Experts to Discuss Circular Economy Opportunities on the 14th

Co-organized by the Business Times, Taiwan Housing, and Yi Chun Green Technology, the "2023 See Taiwan ESG Summit - Circular Economy, Zero Waste, Diversified Applications and Business Opportunities" will be held on July 14th, 2023 (Fri) from 13:30 to 17:00 in the conference room on the 2nd floor of the headquarters of the Want Want China Times Media Group, and the Director of the Waste Management Division and Director of the Resource Recycling Office of the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA), Ms. Ying Ying Lai will be invited to give a speech, which will be broadcasted live online. The international community is working together to promote net-zero emissions, with the European Union as a pioneer in 2020, put forward the "European Plastics Pact", the goal of 2025, the average use of at least 30% of recycled plastics in products and packaging; the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France and other countries have also followed up on the annual increase in the use of recycled materials target, our country is also following up on the international trend of environmental protection, the Environmental Protection Agency to promote the use of recycled plastics in the industry, in hopes that the proportion of recycled materials used in 2025, the use of about 75,000 tons, an increase of about 150,000 tons of carbon reduction, 2030 to further achieve the goal of 30% use ratio of plastic packaging. It is hoped that by 2025, the proportion of recycled materials used in plastic packaging will reach 25%, and the amount of recycled materials used will increase by 75,000 metric tons, with a carbon reduction of 150,000 metric tons, and by 2030, the proportion of recycled materials used will further reach 30% of the total amount of recycled materials used.

Another tree planting is an important environmental protection action that integrates green building and energy efficiency into the design and construction of the environment and health, such as the use of environmentally friendly materials, energy-saving equipment and technologies, which play an important role in improving air quality and reducing air pollutants.

In view of this, we invited representatives from industry, government and academia to discuss the topic of "The Impact and Opportunity of ESG Standardization on the Development of China's Industry in Light of Global Waste Reduction and Enhancement of Empty Goods Environmental Targets, and Based on the Trend of Current International Environmental Policies and Laws", which was carried out by Peng Pei-Yeh, President of Taiwan Housing Group, Hsu Hsiang-Rui, General Manager of the General Manager's Office of the Plastic Industry Technology Development Center, and Hsi-Chun Chin, General Manager of Yi Chun Green Technology. The panelists shared their views.
